Sisters Date :: Stripes and Studs

Posted on

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far. Sharing with you the outfit I wore over the weekend when my baby sister and I had our date at downtown Oakville. One of our favourite place to shop, eat and see. It’s approximately 45 minutes drive from where we live, and I say it’s definitely worth the drive because of all the hidden treasures there!

Lunch break at The Crepe Kitchen, Oakville. The best savoury crepes I’ve tried so far! Yum Yum Three Mushroom crepes!

Accessories of the day! Studs and rose gold, and how could I forget my beautiful rings! <3<3<3

Enjoying the free ice-cream given out by Cold Stone Creamery! It’s our lucky day or what?! Thank you so much! It’s delicious:)

Sister’s outfit: GAP dress, Dorothy Perkins denim jacket, Tory Burch flats, Rebecca Minkoff clutch, Fossil bracelet and Guess watch

Love her outfit!

This is what happened occasionally when wearing a dress on a breezy summer day – I called it the”The Marilyn Monroe Moment”! LOL!

Thank you so much for reading! See you soon:)

Nature :: Cherry Blossom & Pink Butterfly Sleeves Blouse

After the long, snow-white winter, the one thing I crave more than anything is spring color. The branches begin to bud and bulbs bloom, just like these beautiful cherry blossom we discovered. Spring botanical offer the perfect opportunity to take cue from the nature and with some creativity, you can bring those hues into your outfits in a variety of ways. Happy Sunday everyone!

It’s Mr. Photographer’s birthday today! Thank you so much for all his hard work, without him, there’s no such beautiful pictures (and this funny one) on my blog! Heart you B!

Magnolias Canopy :: Lace and More Lace

DSC_0320Hello everyone! Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my previous post. Your words definitely encouraged me continue to try new things. Afterall, there’s nothing to lose and you might get an unexpected result. Oh, talking about trying new stuff, did you notice my new hair style?! I called my hairstyle “short & sweet + bang”. HAHAHA! I haven’t had a bang or such a short hair since I graduated from university.   Mr. Photographer was shocked when he saw me and this is what he said:” Honey, you look like a high school kid!” and later on he joked about having a new wife from Korea cause now I look like a Korean girl. LOL!!!! Hey, that’s not a bad thing right since all the Korean actresses/singers are so pretty!

My sister and I finally had a chance to go out for a lunch date yesterday to our favourite cafe in town. Since we discovered the Einstein Cafe, we never missed going there every Spring whenever the Magnolias bloomed. We love sitting at the patio covered by this beautiful Magnolias. It’s even prettier in the evening when they light up the lantern in the tress and candles on the table. So romantic! Of course, their food is amazing! Highly recommended if you’re in town:)

p/s: Thanks to my baby sister for taking all these beautiful pictures! ❤

Thank you so much for reading! Oh, please don’t forget to enter my GIVEAWAY that will end this Sunday! See you soon:)

The Shorter Me :: Drop-waist Dress

Posted on

Happy Saturday everyone! Thank you so much for those of you who already participated in the GIVEAWAY that I started few days ago. Can’t wait to find out who’s the lucky winner of that gorgeous necklace.

Personally, I have an innate fear of any fashion styles that would make the petite me look even shorter. Who doesn’t, right? A good example would be the drop waist dresses that got so popular in Spring 2012. I adore the the style so much because it has that 1920’s throwback silhouette and it looks quite cute with the shorter skirt length. However, I knew it’s not for my body type and I’d only admire those who are tall and slender looking good in these dresses. I’d never dreamt that I would own one until I saw this dress. The usual me would just take a glance at this gorgeously printed drop-waist dress and walk away with a sigh. But I don’t know what happened me the other day that I actually had the urge to try it on. Good thing I did, because I just fell in love with this dress the moment I saw myself in the mirror. Love, love, love the paisley print, different tone of blue, pleated skirt and the light chiffon fabric! Yes, maybe I look a bit shorter in this dress, but who cares, because I’m really that short. HAHAHA!

What do you think about the drop-waisted dress? Is it a style that you would wear and how would you wear it? Leave a comment below and let me know!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and HAPPY MAMA DAY! ❤
