Since I was very young, one of my favourite TV channels was the one that broadcast any fashion shows around the world. I remembered even before I know how to read the word ‘couture’ or ‘high fashion’, I already enjoyed looking at pages and pages of runway pictures on magazines and newspapers. One thing that was always a mystery to me is that do people really wear them? Because some of them really look like it’s designed for aliens or it’s inappropriate to wear it in the public. To be honest, I had no idea about runway fashion!
Not anymore! I definitely appreciate all the creativity and hardship invested into every pieces I see nowadays. Even more for those Ready-to-Wear pieces! Wish I had the wealth to own those designers pieces that I’ve been craving for, but I really can’t afford it for now. But we can always make do, right? Hence, I’m starting this new series on the blog called “Runway to My Way”, a platform where I will translate the latest design inspirations into outfits that I would wear in the real life, and most important, it’s budget friendly! Hope you enjoy it!
Featuring on my very first entry is the Spring 2013 Burberry Prorsum trench coats collection! Ready to see my version?!
As you can see from the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2013 runway, it seems like the models are wearing the trench coat as a dress. So did I! Also, I’m triedย to capture the bright colours and bold jewel hues on the trench coats, and the shine from the metallic and satin accessories. Hope I passed:P
Thank you so much for reading! I really hope you enjoy reading this post. If you did, please ‘like’ or ‘subscribe’! Also, feel free to leave me any comments/suggestions:D

Thank you so much!!! I will let Mr. Photographer knows about his great work:)
I love it!! Such a great color for a trench!!
Thank you! Thank you! I had this trench for at least 5 years now, but never dare to wear it out. Untill now…..
It’s so good that you did!! Looks great on you ๐
Love the pictures, love burberry ๐ And The colours of The burberry trenches were right up your alley.
I can tell you that many of the pieces you see on the runway is what we in the design industry call “Show pieces” as the word state only for show. When a celeb later on orders or borrows a dress, they only get the dress. John Galliano is a master of show pieces, crazy extravaganza;) and then I think it was Alexander McQueen who made an enitre runway out of ice…it makes it more a show ๐
Thank you so much for the information! I’ve learned something new today. Awesome!!!!
I learned this from my design teacher in High School, she worked for Alexander McQueen, so she had loads of fun inside info ๐ hhehe
Wow, lucky you to get all the insider story! I was never in design courses, it’s all math and science courses:( Anyhow, I’ve been thinking a lot lately if I should pursue my passion in Image Consulting training. What do you think?
I think that would be great for you. And it would peak your interest more ๐ I’m educated from a school called “School of fashion Industry (SoFi) in Norway were as I got a diploma and titled “Fashion Consultant” In norway it’s somewhat an unclear title, but my fellow classmates are all stylists, fashion consultants or personal shoppers ๐ I think you would be great at it ๐
Thank you so much my friend! Guess I should follow my heart then:)

Brilliant to start a series like this. I’m already curious for your next item. I’m facing the same problem. For example the green trench from Burberry Prorsum I like very much, but the price holds me back to buy it. Fortunately there is a lot of great stuff for much less :o)
Carry on!
Thank you so much for your support! Stay tune:)
